Role Overview

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This role is ideal for problem-solvers who excel in customer communication and technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform thorough troubleshooting on heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment; diagnose mechanical, electrical, and airflow issues.

• Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance checks, filter replacements, coil cleanings, and system tune-ups to ensure peak efficiency.

• Customer Communication: Explain technical issues and proposed solutions clearly to clients, providing upfront estimates and professional recommendations.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate digital logs of work completed, parts used, system readings, and client recommendations.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to local building codes, EPA regulations, and company safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC service and troubleshooting.

• Certifications: Active EPA Universal Certification required; relevant state/local licensing preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, manifold gauges, leak detectors) and reading electrical schematics.

• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, punctual, and highly organized.
